This is the largest secure hospital in the UK, and also houses the biggest women’s secure unit. They have offered direct support to our project in Yorkshire and have been involved in the design phase also. It is incredibly unusual to have the level of support we have had from them, but they have been incredibly engaging from early on. They believe our approach is exactly what is needed as a service, and think it ours a great solution to move those out of high secure services that are ready for the next step down.

In the longer term we have started loose discussions around building a purpose built medium secure unit on the grounds of Rampton Hospital and lease it back. Early discussions have been positive, and it is something we will be looking to press on with as it would be a flagship opportunity.
